Obtusus cum Acumine; Prayer Flags for the Garden

Starting Summer 2012 Lucia Maria Minervini’s wax pages of a book on fabric will be installed at Le Petit Versailles, the Green Thumb garden at 346 East Houston Street.
The Ancient Prayer Flag is a design made of wax/paper/text/image/fastening; components of an artist made ‘book’. The flags will remain in Le Petit Versaille until they decay and disintegrate as the artist joins the collective and relinquishes authorship to becoming another witness to this process. The artist will maintain oversight and contact with the work and responses to it on the dedicated blog on this website,  facebook, twitter, the artist’s website, and tumblr.
